Cancellation and Refund Policy

When a payment can be cancelled, when you get a refund, and how refunds reach your card.

Last updated: 10 October 2026 Read our Terms and Conditions →

1. About this policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains when a payment made on PayKaasu can be cancelled, when you will get a refund, and how refunds work. It applies to all payments made through our website www.paykaasu.com (the "Platform"), including education fee payments and vendor payments.

The Platform is owned and operated by ForLoopTech Solutions Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 8th Floor, Naman Chambers, G-Block, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400051, India ("PayKaasu", "we", "us" or "our").

This policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms and Conditions.

2. Cancelling a payment

  • Before you confirm: you can stop a payment at any time before you authorise it with your card's OTP. Nothing is charged to your card.
  • After you confirm: once a payment has been authorised and submitted for processing, it cannot be cancelled. This is because the money is sent to the Payee's bank account straight away.
  • Payments we stop: we may hold, refuse or stop a payment if we need to verify it, if we suspect fraud or misuse, or if the law or a Payment Partner requires it. If a payment we stop is not sent to the Payee, we refund it in full as set out in Section 3.

3. When you get a full refund

You get a full refund, including the Convenience Fee and GST, in these cases:

Situation What we refund When
Your card is charged but the payment fails or is not sent to the Payee Full amount charged to your card Within 1 working day
The Payee's bank rejects or returns the transfer (for example, if the account is closed) Full amount charged to your card Within 1 working day of the money coming back to us
Your card is charged twice for the same payment because of a technical error The extra amount charged Within 1 working day of us confirming the error
We stop or refuse a payment and it is not sent to the Payee Full amount charged to your card Within 1 working day of the decision

"Within 1 working day" is when we start the refund. Your Card Issuer may take a few more working days to show it on your card account or statement.

4. When we cannot give a refund

We cannot refund a payment that has been successfully sent to the Payee's bank account, including in these cases:

  • Wrong details: you entered the wrong Payee name, bank account number or IFSC, and the money was credited to that account. We will try to help you contact the receiving bank, but we cannot reverse the payment.
  • Disputes with the Payee: you are unhappy with the goods or services, the price or the delivery, or you want money back from a school, college, institution or supplier. These are between you and the Payee, and any refund must come from them directly under their own refund rules.
  • Change of mind: you no longer want to make a payment that has already been completed.
  • Overpayment to the Payee: you paid more than you owed. Please ask the Payee to return the extra amount to you.

5. Convenience Fee and GST

  • The Convenience Fee and GST are shown before you confirm a payment.
  • On a successfully completed payment, the Convenience Fee and GST are not refundable.
  • If a payment fails, is returned or is stopped by us, the Convenience Fee and GST are refunded with the payment amount.

6. How refunds are paid

  • Refunds are always paid back to the same card used for the payment. We do not refund in cash, by cheque or to another account or card.
  • Refunds are made in Indian rupees for the amount charged to your card.
  • Any interest, charges or reward points changed by your Card Issuer because of a payment or its refund are between you and your Card Issuer.

7. How to ask for help or a refund

Please report a problem with a payment within 2 days of making it. Email info@paykaasu.com with:

  1. your registered mobile number or email address;
  2. the payment reference number (for example, PK-2026-0419) and the UTR, if you have it;
  3. the date and amount of the payment; and
  4. a short description of the problem.

Never share your full card number, CVV, OTP or password with anyone, including people who say they are from PayKaasu. We will never ask for them.

We will look into your request and update you by email. We may ask for documents, such as an invoice, fee receipt or bank statement, to complete our check.

8. Chargebacks

If you think a payment was not made by you, or something has gone wrong, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it quickly.

If you raise a dispute or chargeback with your Card Issuer, we may hold the related payment while it is investigated, ask you for supporting documents, and act on the outcome decided by the Card Issuer, card network or authority. If the chargeback is decided in your favour, we will pass on any amount we actually receive within 7 working days, as set out in our Terms and Conditions.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Platform with a new "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or a message on the Platform.
